Gifts to School of Computer Science & Mathematics contribute to...

The School of Computer Science and Mathematics at Marist stands at an important inflection point, shaped by rapid technological change and expanding opportunities for impact. As Dean of the School of Computer Science and Mathematics (CSM), my priorities for the School are to (1) continue innovating our curriculum as we respond to the advent of artificial intelligence and prepare for advances in quantum computing; (2) demonstrate the relevance of a CSM education through expanding opportunities for experiential learning so our students can be prepared for success in whatever post-Marist endeavors they choose; and (3) increase engagement with local and national entities in the business, industry, academic, government, and nonprofit sectors in order to mutually benefit them and our faculty and students.
Advancing these priorities will require sustained investment in our academic programs, faculty, and collaborative initiatives. Such support strengthens our ability to provide meaningful, real-world learning experiences, deepen research and industry connections, and equip students with the skills and perspective needed to lead in their fields.
CSM is grateful to our donors who have supported our mission in the past. At this particular moment in our School’s history, strategic philanthropic investments will advance these priorities to help maintain CSM’s leadership in the areas of mathematics and computing technology now and in the future.
